Strategy to the IBEX35 Index

The IBEX35 tracks the top 35 companies by market value in Spain. Over time, it trends up but swings more than others. Compared to the EURO STOXX or DAX 30, which stay steadier, this one has bigger ups and downs.

Over a long period of time this stock index will in general move upward, you want to be biased and keep buying as the stock index moves upwards.

A good stock index trade strategy would be for traders to keep buying and buy the market dips - though as a trader wanting to trade this index, be prepared for much wider and more volatile swings in trading this stock index.

During Economic SlowDown & Recession

During economic slowdown and recession times, companies start and begin to report lower earnings, lower profits and lower growth prospects. It is because of this reason which investors & traders start to sell shares of corporations reporting lower profits and thence the stock index monitoring and keeping track of these given stocks will also start moving downward.

In these market periods, trends often head down. Adjust your trading approach to match the current downward move in the stock market index you trade.
