How to Open Demo MT4 Account from MetaTrader 4 Software

The Demo MT4 account to learn trading with is the MT4 demo account. To open a new demo account for practice trading, a trader can do this direct from their platform. Below using MT4 software, on the top-left corner: click File then click 'Open an Account' button key as illustrated and shown below.

Once you click this link you will be taken to your stock broker site where you can register for MT4 demo account details of a Trading practice account.

Next step is to fill the following MT4 demo account signup forms illustrated and shown below, required information is:

• Your first name
• Last name
• Country
• City or town
• Phone number
• E-Mail address.

After filling these MetaTrader 4 practice account opening details on form below, click open demo account button.

Once you fill MetaTrader 4 practice account sign up form & complete this step, you'll receive confirmation particulars of your online demo login and password credentials as illustrated and shown below. A copy of these Trading login credentials will also be sent to your e-mail address.

The login details of the free practice account that you have just signed up for are sent to you as an e-mail which will pop-up in your in-box as displayed on screen-shot below.

Once you receive the Trading Demo MT4 account log in details, you can now then log in into MetaTrader 4 software and start to access the market and practice trading on this Demo MT4 practice account.

The trading link to also download the MetaTrader 4 software is also provided along with the login & password details upon registration of the MT4 demo account so that you can download the MT4 Software, if you have not downloaded it.

How to Log in to Demo MT4 Account

To sign in to your MT4 demo: Open MetaTrader 4 platform and at the tops left corner of MT4 click 'File' button key then click Login as shown below:

The following popup widow will popup prompting you to enter your Demo MT4 account login credentials & password. Enter the login details as illustrated and shown below and save the information by checking 'save account information' button key so that there is no need to retype this the next time that you want to login.

You will then be logged in to the Demo MT4 account as pictured below:

Once you have opened a free Trading Demo MT4 account you can then start to practice the following:

• How to place orders
• How to open stock charts & place indicators
• How to interpret Indices Trading charts
• How to monitor profits and losses
• How to navigate MetaTrader 4 platform inter-face

While practicing all the above indices concepts, the money used is virtual money, meaning a Demo MT4 trader will practice using virtual funds but everything else including stock price movements will reflect the true stock price movement.

Practice Demo versus Real Account

The practice demo account only difference to the live account is deposit, with a practice account a trader can't deposit or withdraw money but with the live account a trader can deposit & withdraw money and all the trades will be traded using real money and profits can be withdrawn and losses will be deducted from the deposited amount in your live account.

Traders should use this practice account to test out their trading strategy and practice trading until such a time that they can trade the market profitably. Then when they learn how to make a profit on their Trading Demo MT4 account then they can open a live account and start trading the live stock market.

Once a beginner trader registers for the free practice account the next step is to learn the software as well as learn trading systems & trading strategies that will be used to generate stock signals for trading. The trader will then test these strategies on the Demo MT4 account that they will have opened to test if these trade strategies are profitable. Once the trade strategies are profitable on the Demo MT4 account & a trader starts to make consistent profits on their Trading Demo MT4 account then they can consider opening a real stock indices account.
