How to Set a Trailing Stop Loss on MT5

Stock Indices trailing stop loss are stop loss orders in MetaTrader 5 platform that will be adjusted by a number of stock indices pips once the stock indices trade has moved in favor of the direction of the traders trade position.

For a buy stock indices trade the trailing stop-loss trails the upwards stock indices trend and automatically closes the buy stock indices trade once the stock indices price starts to drop & move in opposite direction of your stock indices trade. The buy stock indices trade will be automatically closed once the stock indices price reaches your trailing stop-loss level.

For a sell stock indices trade the trailing stop-loss trails the downwards stock indices trend and automatically closes the sell stock indices trade once the stock indices price starts to rise & move in opposite direction of your stock indices trade. The sell stock indices trade will be automatically closed once the stock indices price reaches your trailing stop-loss level.

Trailing stop loss order will be adjusted by a number of stock indices pips once the stock indices price moves in direction of the stock indices trade by a specified number of stock indices pips.

First open a new stock indices trade & once you've opened a new stock indices trade follow the step by step guide described below to set a stock indices trailing stop-loss order for this new open stock indices trade in MetaTrader 5 stock indices Trading Platform

1. Right Click on the stock indices trade position
2. Select Trailing Stop option from the pop up menu that pops up
