Best Stock Indices Technical Indicators for Stock Indices Trading

Stock Indices traders should choose stock indices indicators that best suit their stock indices trading style - there are a variety of stock indices indicators from which stock indices traders can choose from. Moving Averages Stock Indices Indicators

Stock Indices moving averages are used by many stock indices traders as stock indices trend following technical indicators & these moving averages are used to determine the direction of the stock indices trend whether upward or downward. There are 2 types of commonly used stock indices moving averages & these are - SMA, simple moving averages & EMA, exponential moving averages.

Moving averages are used to smooth out the stock indices price movement and also to indicate the general direction of stock indices prices.

This means that stock indices traders use the stock indices moving averages to generate stock indices signals and to determine the general stock indices trend direction in which to open stock indices trades.

Stock Indices moving averages are used by stock indices traders to signal a stock indices trend. To signal a stock indices trend stock indices traders will use 2 moving averages a shorter period moving average & a longer period moving average & a stock indices trend is signal once the shorter period moving average crosses the longer period moving average.

When the short term moving average crosses above long term period moving average then this is interpreted as an upwards stock indices trend.

When the short term moving average crosses below the long term period moving average then this is interpreted as a downwards stock indices trend.

SMA - simple moving average weights stock indices periods equally when calculating the moving average and therefore SMA moving average is slower to react to recent stock indices price changes.

EMA - Exponential moving average weights the recent stock indices price period more when calculating the moving average and thus the EMA moving average is quicker to react to recent stock indices price changes.

Stock Indices Buy and Stock Indices Sell Signals

Stock Indices buy trading signals are generated when shorter period moving average crosses above longer period moving average.

Stock Indices sell trading signals are generated when shorter period moving average crosses below the longer period moving average.

When MACD indicator is above the center line stock indices prices are moving higher - when MACD indicator is below the centerline then stock indices prices are closing lower.

MACD indicator is plotted as 2 lines MACD Fast-Line & MACD Signal-Line -

When MACD FAST Line or MACD Line crosses above MACD Signal-Line this is interpreted as a Buy Trading Signal

When MACD FAST Line or MACD Line crosses below the MACD SignalLine this is interpreted as a Sell Trading Signal
