Place On Balance Volume Indicator in Chart on MT4

The OBV indices volume technical indicator can be used as a indices trading reversal indicator, indices trading exit indicator or indices entry indicator. This OBV indicator lesson will explain how to add the On Balance Volume indicator on a Chart on the MT4 Trading Software - MT4 platform.

How to Place OBV Indicator on Meta Trader 4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window

Open Navigator window panel as illustrated and shown below: Navigate to "View" menu (click it) and then select "Navigator" window (click), or From Standard Toolbar click on the "Navigator" button key or press short-cut key-board keys "Ctrl+N"

On Navigator window, choose 'Technical Indicators', (Double-Click)

Step 2: Expand the Indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand the menu by clicking the expand button marked (+) or doubleclick the "indicators" menu, after this the button key will then now appear as (-) & will now be shown as a list as shown below.

From Above panel you can then add any indicator you want on chart. The OBV indices volume technical indicator can be used as a indices trading reversal indicator, indices trading exit indicator or indices entry indicator.

Placing On Balance Volume Stock Trading Indicator in Trading Chart

Step 1: Select the On Balance Volume button key on MT4 list of indicators as displayed below:

Step 2: Double click On Balance Volume Button, and click okay to add the OBV Indicator on the stock chart as illustrated and shown below:

To Adjust Settings, right click in On Balance Volume Technical Indicator, choose properties settings and then edit the properties of the indicator using the pop-up menu that appears and click ok button key once you change setting.

The following window pop-up appears and On Balance Volume Trading Indicator settings can be edited from this window pop-up.
