Place On Balance Volume Indicator in Chart in MT4 Platform Software
The OBV volume technical indicator can be used as a trading reversal indicator, indices trading exit indicator or indices entry indicator. This OBV indicator lesson will explain how to add the On Balance Volume indicator on a Chart on the MT4 Platform - MT4 software.
How to Set OBV Indicator on MetaTrader 4 Charts
Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Panel
Open Navigator panel window just as illustrated and displayed below: Navigate to "View" menu (click it) & then select/choose "Navigator" window (press), or From Standard Tool Bar click the "Navigator" button or press shortcut key board keys "Ctrl+N"
On Navigator panel, choose 'Indicators', (Double-Press)
Step 2: Expand Trading Indicators Menu on the Navigator
Expand this menu by pressing the unfold tool/button impress ed " + " or doubleclick the "indicators" menu, and after which this particular specified button key will then now be shown as (-) & will now be shown as a listing like is illustrated below.
From Above panel you then can add any indicator you as the trader want on chart. The OBV volume technical indicator can be used as a trading reversal indicator, indices trading exit indicator or indices entry indicator.
Placing On Balance Volume Stock Trading Indicator in Chart
Step 1: Select/Choose the On Balance Volume button on MT4 list of indicators just as displayed below:
Step 2: Double click On Balance Volume Button, and click okay to add the OBV Indicator on the stock chart just as shown & portrayed below:

To Adjust Settings, right-click on On Balance Volume Technical Indicator, choose properties settings and then edit settings of the indicator using the popup menu that appears and click ok button key once you change setting.
The following window pop-up appears and On Balance Volume Indicator properties settings can be edited using this window pop-up.
