How to Set Indicators on MT4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window

Open Navigator window panel as illustrated & shown below: Go to "View" menu (click on it) and then select and choose "Navigator" panel window (press), or From Standard Tool Bar click on the "Navigator" button or press short-cut key board keys "Ctrl+N"

In the Navigator window, pick Indicators. Double-click it.

Step 2: Open the indicators menu in the Navigator

Open this menu with the plus (+) button or by double-clicking indicators. The button becomes a minus (-) sign. It reveals a list as shown below.

In the above panel window, traders can add any preferred indicator to their trading chart.

Setting Standard Deviation Stock Indicator in a Chart

Step 1: Locate and select the Standard Deviation option within the MT4 indicator inventory, as depicted in the visual below:

Step 2: Click the Standard Deviations Button twice, then click ok to put the technical indicator on the chart as shown below:

Edit Indicator Setting

If you want to alter the settings, right-click on the Standard Deviation tool, choose settings, then change what you want in the window that pops up, and then press the OK button after changing it.
