To setup MT5 platform - download the MT5 exe setup file, Click setup and follow the MT5 installation instructions.

How to Log in to MT5 Platform

To trade with the MT5 Stock Indices Trading Platform you will need to first of all enter stock indices account details - the MT5 platform will prompt you to enter you stock indices trading account details and you as a trader can use enter your stock indices account login details by clicking the File tab on the MT5 platform at the tops left corner of the MT5 platform, then select the Login to Trade Account option and then enter your stock indices account details - stock indices demo account details for MT5 stock indices demo account and stock indices live account details for MT5 real stock indices account.

How to Open a Stock Indices Instrument on MT5

To open a Stock Indices instrument go the MT5 Market Watch Window select the stock indices instrument that you want to open and double click on the stock indices instrument to open the stock indices chart for this stock indices instrument.

You can also tap the click to add button key at the bottom of the MetaTrader 5 Market Watch Window to add a stock indices instrument that is not listed on the Market Watch Widow.

How to Open a Stock Indices Trade on MT5

To open a stock indices trade on the MT5 platform right click within the stock indices chart & choose the New Order Widow to open a buy or sell stock indices trade.

A trader can also open the New Order window on the MT5 platform by clicking the MT5 shortcut key - F9, stock indices traders can press F9 to open the New Order window.

How to Set Stop Loss on MT5

StopLoss Level can be set when opening a new stock indices trade on the MT5 platform. On the New Order window provided on the MT5 platform there is a field for Stop Loss - this is where a trader will specify the stoploss level for their open stock indices trade.

Stop-Loss Level can also be set when modifying an already open stock indices trade, to modify & set a stop loss for an open stock indices trade - right click on stock indices trade that you want to modify on the MT5 Terminal Window or on the Stock Indices trading chart, Choose Modify Order, Select Stop Loss & set the Stop Loss Level that you want for your open stock indices trade.

How to Place a Stock Indices Pending Order on MT5

To place a stock indices pending order open the New Order Window on the MT5 platform, then change the stock indices order Type from Market Execution to Pending Order.

Stock Indices traders can then select the stock indices pending order that they want to set, the pending orders are buy limit, buy stop, sell limit, sell stop.
