IBEX 35 Index
IBEX 35 is a Index that keeps track of the top 35 shares/stocks in Bolsa de Madrid - Spanish Stock Exchange Market. This index keeps track of capitalization of the 35 most traded and liquid stocks in Madrid Stock Market. The constituent shares used to calculate this stock index are reviewed twice a year.

Strategy for Trading/Transacting IBEX35 Index
IBEX35 monitors capitalization of the top 35 companies in Spain. This index generally moves upwards over the long-term but it's more volatile in its trend movements. When compared to other indices like EURO STOXX and DAX30 indices which have lower volatility in their trend moves, this index has wider and more volatile swings in its trend movements.
Over a long period of time this stock index will in general move up, as a trader you want to be biased & keep on buying as the index moves and heads upward.
A good stock index trade strategy would be to keep buying and buy the dips - though as a trader wanting to trade this index, be prepared for much wider swings when it comes to trading this stock index.
During Economic Slow-Down and Recession
During economic slow down & recession periods, firms start reporting slower earnings and revenues, slower profits and lowers growth prospect. It is because of this reason that traders start & begin to sell stocks & shares of corporations that are announcing and recording lower profits and hence stock index keeping track & monitoring of these particular specifed stocks also will start to head and go downward.
Hence, during these market times, the trends are much more likely to be heading & going downwards & as a trader you should also adjust your strategy accordingly to fit the current downwards trends of the stock market index which you're trading.
