Set Stop Loss When Opening New Order on Tools Menu on MT5 Platform
To execute new trade order to buy or sell a trade use the tools pop up menu within MetaTrader 5 Software as is illustrated and shown below.
New order button for placing a new trade is displayed & illustrated and shown below. (MT5 Short Cut key board Keys 'F9')

Once you select new order button like as shown above following order window popup will appear and you as the trader can use this trade order window pop up to set StopLoss Level for your new trade.
This pop-up window includes settings for registering and opening a new order as well as parameters for placing Stop Loss Order Level.
How Do I Trade Indices & Place Stop Loss in MT5 Indices Charts?
The Following Stop Loss Parameter Settings are specified for setting a new Stop Loss Order:
StopLoss - Set Stop Loss, This option also can be set after placing a trade, or for pending orders
Open the Buy or Sell Trade by Clicking the Following Buttons:
- Sell by Market - Open a Sell Trade
- Buy by Market - Open Buy Trade
To Buy at ruling price & open new order choose Buy by Market order button
To Sell at present price and open new order choose Sell by Market order button
After opening the new trade positions use Stop Loss Order Window Above to Set StopLoss order for the New Stock Order
You also can get this window so that to modify an executed buy/sell position - To find this order panel window for buy or sell trade, right-click on opened buy/sell position, then after that you click 'Modify Order' button key after you click on modify order button and the above order settings button will pop up and appear & you as a trader can set StopLoss using the technique explained above.
