Indices Trading Open Buy and Sell on MT4 Indices Charts?

To open a buy or a sell indices trade on the MT4 platform - open the Market Watch Window, Select the Indices Trading Symbol you want to open a Indices Trade with, open the stock indices chart of the trading instrument symbol by double clicking on the indices quote, then from the stock indices chart open a indices buy or sell indices trade using the MT4 order window shown below:

A new buy or sell order to buy or sell indices can be found on the tools menu within the MT4 Indices Trading Platform. The "New Order" button for placing a new trade transaction on the MetaTrader 4 platform is shown below. (Short Cut Keyboard Keys "F9")

Buy or Sell Order on MT4

As a indices trader, once you select the new order button as illustrated above the following trade order popup window will appear. This popup includes the settings for placing a new indices trade.

Select Buy to open a Buy Trade

Select Sell to open a Sell Trade

The Following Settings are specified for placing a new indices order:

1. Symbol - Specify the instrument to be traded.
2. Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
3. Stop Loss Stock Indices Order - Set Stop Loss Indices Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending indices orders
4. Take Profit Stock Indices Order - Set Take Profit Indices Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending indices orders
5. Type: Market Execution or Pending Indices Order
6. Sell by Market - Open a Sell Trade
7. Buy by Market - Open a Buy Trade

To Buy at current stock indices price select the Buy by Market button

To Sell at current stock indices price select the Sell by Market button
