Indices Open Buy & Sell in Meta Trader 4 Charts

To open a buy or a sell indices trade in Meta Trader 4 platform - open the Market Watch Window, Select the Trading Quote you want to open a Trade with, open the chart of the instrument quote by double-clicking on the quote, then from the chart open a buy or sell indices trade using the MT4 order window shown below:

Place New Order on Tools Menu on Meta Trader 4 Software

A new buy or sell order to buy or sell indices can be found on the tools menu within the MT4 Trading Platform. "New Order" button key for placing a new trade transaction on MetaTrader 4 software is illustrated below. (Short-Cut Keyboard Keys "F9")

Buy or Sell Stock Trade Order in Meta Trader 4 Software

As a trader, once you choose the new order button as illustrated above following trade order window popup will appear. This popup includes the settings for placing a new trade.

Choose Buy to open a Buy Trade

Choose Sell to open a Sell Trade

Following Settings are specified for setting up and placing a new order:

1. Symbol - Specify the instrument to be traded.
2. Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
3. Stop Loss Stock Order - Set Stop Loss Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending orders
4. Take Profit Stock Order - Set Take Profit Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending orders
5. Type: Market Execution or Pending Order
6. Sell by Market - Open a Sell Trade
7. Buy by Market - Open a Buy Trade

To Buy at current price choose Buy by Market button key

To Sell at current price choose the Sell by Market button key
