How to Open a Stock Indices Chart in MT4 Software
Once you have opened a practice stock indices account the next step is to open a Indices chart so as to begin trading.
For this example let's begin with a blank screen on the MT4 interface.
To open a new chart from the stock indices trading example explained below, click "File" tab at the tops left corner as shown below, then choose the option "New Chart".

After clicking the "New Chart" button a drop down menu will popup with a list of trading instruments that as a trader you can choose which to open. For example clicking the selection for Indices, clicking Indices will open the chart for indices.

Login to a MetaTrader 4 Stock Indices Trading Account
Before placing any trade on the MetaTrader 4 software, you will be required to sign in to your account and get authenticated before gaining access to the account. Authentication is checking to see if the login details you provide for User Name & Pass Word are the correct sign in details for the account.
To start trading in MT4, just click on "File", then choose and click "Login" button from the file drop down menu as illustrated below.

As a trader once you click this log in button, then a window pop up will appear prompting you to type your Username and Password as illustrated & shown below:

Once you input your User Name and Password you will then have to choose the server: because this is a demo indices trading account, for this instance you will then select "Demo", if it was a real indices trading account/live stock indices trading account then you would have to select "Real" Server on this option by clicking on drop-down arrow on right side of the above text box.
Then check the box "Save Account Information"
Then Click 'Sign in'
Once you click login your details will be authenticated & you'll then have access to your MetaTrader 4 stock indices trading account and when logged in to your account you can begin to trade & place new orders in stock indices trading market in the MT4 platform. If you do not have login credentials you can get these details by registering a practice trading account with a broker.
