Indices Trade Buy & Sell Indices Orders in MT4 Indices Charts
To open a buy or a sell indices trade on the MetaTrader 4 platform - open the Market Watch Window, Select the Indices Symbol you want to open a Indices Trade with, open the stock indices chart of the indices symbol by double clicking on the stock indices price quote, then from the stock indices chart open a buy or sell indices trade using the MetaTrader 4 order window shown below:
Place New Indices Order on Tools Menu on MetaTrader 4 Platform
A new buy or sell stock indices order to buy or sell a index instrument can be found on the tools window menu within the MetaTrader 4 Indices Platform. The "New Indices Order" button for placing a new trade transaction on the MetaTrader 4 platform is shown below. (MetaTrader 4 Short Cut Keyboard Keys "F9")

As a indices trader, once you select the new indices order button as illustrated above following trade order window popup will appear. This popup includes the settings for placing a new indices trade.
Choose Buy to open a Buy Indices Trade
Choose Sell to open a Sell Indices Trade
How to Analyze Buy & Sell Indices Orders in MT4 Indices Charts?
Following Settings are specified for setting up and placing a new indices trading order:
- Symbol - Specify the instrument to be traded -indices.
- Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
- Stop Loss Stock Indices Order - Set Stop Loss Indices Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending indices orders
- Take Profit Stock Indices Order - Set Take Profit Indices Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending indices orders
- Type: Market Execution or Pending Indices Order
- Sell by Market - Open a Sell Indices Trade
- Buy by Market - Open a Buy Indices Trade
To Buy at current stock indices price choose Buy by Market button key
To Sell at current stock indices price choose the Sell by Market button key
