How Do I Trade Indices and Hide Indices Symbols on MetaTrader 5?
To hide indices trading Quotes in MT5 software use MT5 "Market Watch" Window Panel.
To Open the MT5 Market Watch Window Panel, Click "View" Menu next to the "File" Menu at the tops left corner of MetaTrader 5 platform, then from the drop-down menu select "Market Watch" button so as to open "Market Watch" on the MetaTrader 5 indices Platform.
Once you open the Market Watch window the list of available trading indices symbols will be displayed on the MT5 platform.
As a trader you may want to hide some of the indices symbols available on the MT5 platform so as only to be left with the indices instruments that you are only trading with.
If you want to hide indices trading Symbols stock indices price quotes on this Market Watch window, Right Click within Market Watch window and a Pop Window appears - from this window pop up choose option - "Hide All" - this will then close all the indices quotes that you are not trading with - only indices symbols that you have opened indices charts to trade with will be left on this display of indices trading symbols.

To Save Internet Bandwidth, (Especially if you're using mobile trader, or pay per MB internet)
To save inter-net band width select a list of all the indices instruments you will be trading by opening charts for only these indices symbols, say example, 5 indices instruments, after selecting these symbols by opening their trading charts, then select & click "Hide All" button key, this will then hide all symbols which you do not require to trade with, thus saving you internet bandwidth.
Even if you do not want to save internet bandwidth, you can choose the option to "Hide All" indices quotes in MT5 platform, this will save computer processor resources and RAM, especially if you trade with a broker that provides hundreds of indices instruments, indices symbols and indices instruments, there no need to have all these 100 or 200 indices symbols and indices instruments streaming stock indices price quotes on your MT5 platform after all you need only about 10 to 20 indices instruments or a few indices instruments to trade with. You can always "Show All" indices symbols >>> then Select a new indices symbol by opening its indices chart, >>> Then "hide all" after you have selected the new indices symbol, your newly selected indices symbol will be added on this minimized list of indices quotes in the MT5 software.
