Objects Listing on Charts Menu in MetaTrader 4 Platform

Within the MT4 platform, the charts menu options feature a second button designated as the 'Objects' listing button. The objects list serves to display all items placed on the chart, including trading indicators, trendlines, text labels, and any other objects that have been added to the MetaTrader chart.

Objects List

The objects listing menu has the following sub menu options:

  1. Objects List
  2. Delete Last
  3. Delete All Selected
  4. Delete All Arrows
  5. Unchoose All
  6. Undo Delete

The first option is the 'Objects List'

To see all the items put on the chart you are using for trading, click the button that shows a list of objects: this will show all chart objects, just like in the examples shown below:

On this chart, the things you see are put on the chart. To erase them all, pick all of them by clicking on them, checking the box on the left, and then click delete.

Show - This option will display the selected object and position it on the chart.

Modify - This function permits alterations to the parameters of any visual element within the displayed 'objects list'.

The other submenu items on this objects list are:

  • Delete Last - Delete the last object that was placed on the trading chart
  • Delete All Chosen - Select some objects by doubleclicking on them, then select this option to delete all chosen.
  • Delete All Arrows - Deletes all the arrows
  • Unselect All - Unselect all objects that may and might have been chosen on the charts.
  • Undo Delete - Undo a delete and put back a deleted object on the trading chart

To view objects list, directly using a short-cut a stock index trader can press keyboard buttons 'Ctrl+B' as a short cut to this menu.
