Setting Arrows on Stock Charts in the MT4
The arrows button on the MT4 under the insert menu options is used to draw arrows on the charts within the MT4 Indices Platform. Arrow button keys is illustrated below.
The Following arrows can be plotted on the MetaTrader software under this arrow buttons option:
- Thumb Up
- Thumb Down
- Arrows Up
- Arrows Down
- Stop Sign Maker
- Check Sign Maker
- Left Price Label
- Right Price Label
Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down Arrows
Thumbs up and thumbs down icons can be put on a price chart to mark the price levels where traders might start trades and show the levels where traders might end trades. The thumbs up and thumbs down arrows are shown below. As a stock indices trader, you can change the arrow thickness by right-clicking on the arrows, choosing properties, and picking a different line width.
Arrow Up and Arrow Down Arrows
The upward-pointing and downward-pointing arrows indicate the price levels at which a trader starts a buy order or areas where a trader starts a sell order: these arrow-shaped buttons are shown below.
Stop Sign and Check Sign
The stop and check marks can also show the levels where a stock index trader starts and finishes a trade: for example, the picture below shows where a trader started a buy trade and ended the open trade.
Left Price Label and Right Price Label
Price labels mark exact levels where they're placed. A right label shows on the right of the price. A left one appears on the left, as in the example below.
